Tuesday 22 September

today we were excited to be able to go back to our own mobile creche site and it had reopened for the children

our new creche site is really exciting, it is under a building which is being constructed but it a whole lot bigger than the last site, and it has a lot more space for the children to be split into the three or four groups depending on their ages

when we first got there it was chaos as the children had had over six days off creche and didnt want to leave their parents, luckily we were able to retrieve our box from storage and did some colouring in for the first part of the morning to stop the crying .....

we also got the kids into doing the hokey tokey, which they loved
and we realised that we need to learn a whole lot more songs!!

Mollie and I also have babies who love us now
I was vomited on once and peed on twice

there was a new teacher trainee at the creche as well

in the evening we went to Darshana's house for dinner and learnt how to make some cool snack food and chapatis
we also decided to make GG and GS cool so made up this poem

Monday 21 September

today we had the excitement of door step school being closed so it meant that all five of us CVP's had to go to Katsuko's site
we thought this was a bit much as there are around 25 kids there so we decided to let Sara and Linnea go in the morning and we would go after lunch
this gave us some time in the morning to finish our paintings for the walls of our new creche which is finally finished and the kids are back tomorrow!!

we had a really fun afternoon with the kids
we did some english, drew houses and people Indian style, and then we played with bubbles and we played some games with the kids a bit like 'lucy locket lost her pocket'
there was an older boy there and he has a thing for Mollie and he was always choosing Mollie to chase him

when we got home we had the Maha dinner for the new Vols so it was time for a sari again
and this time I almost got there apart from the Pallau
maybe next Maha dinner in a week or so .... and we will be done!!!

Sunday 20 September

today we had a lazy morning
I don't think I had a shower until after lunch

I think we nursed our sunburn from Sinhagad yesterday and chilled in the pool
after lunch as well as tidying our room - we've been here for a month now

Then we went out to catch the bus to MG Road
we first got on the wrong bus so had to jump off up the road a bit
after a while the right bus came round and we got on and had a pleasant drive to MG road

my main purpose of going to MG road was to get a silk top tailored by MR Singh as I do not have anything suitable with me for going out - I only have GG uniforms and other non inspiring or exciting items of clothing
I decided on a amazing bluey greeny turquoise silk with paisley print
I also ended up purchasing a new punjabi suit as well think it is navy and gold? will be able to see once it is back next Sunday
can't wait to pick my new things up as Mr Singh's tailors do a fantastic job - not like the sangam tailors

Mollie and I decided to catch the bus home as well as it is about 1/6 of the price of a rickshaw and a lot of fun
unfortantely for me, someone decided that they quite liked the look of my wallet and I did not seem to come home with it - fortunately for me I had about £1 in there so it was no big loss just had to go through the hassle of cancelling my credit cards - why do you have to call London for a NZ bank??
